Any art form in India reflects the intimate relationship of ideas and life. And mythology, symbolism and iconography are just the vehicles or aid to understand the essence and spirit of Indian art. In Bronze sculptures, each symbol or every icon has a specific meaning and is expressed to denote a specific purpose. Therefore, to appreciate the art of sculpturing in its proper perspective, it is imperative to understand the inner meaning and the philosophy behind the creation of the art piece.

The description of this sculpture illustrates the details that were achieved through it, when considered as a whole. She is shown as nude with erect posture placing her right hand on her hip and both her legs are bent at the knee point as if she is dancing. A trefoil necklace is carved beautifully. Even the bangles is worn by her, in her left arm, right from the shoulder, grabs our attention.
 The historians are impressed with this Bronze statue of dancing girl. All the details in dancing posture are carved with attention. The ease with which the dancing girl has been represented has got universal acclaim. So, the aesthetic value of the statue remains at the highest point.
Therefore, the Bronze sculpture of the dancing girl is very significant from many points of view as it also provides evidence of existence of dance at least 3000 years before the great sage Bharata, the author of Natyasastra.
So, the aesthetic pleasure and strongly emotional aura conveyed by these images seem to attune our consciousness in their deep religious significance. This state of form of communication, conveyed through this is most meaningful. Available to us from centuries, the Bronze temple images seem to have been cast specially for eternity. And these Bronze sculptures are an important and worthy representation of the Asian sacred culture, showing its glorious past.
